WE ARE OUR OWN ROBBERS

'cring cring, cring cring'...'damn,it's 4:30. Another day is here again and the first thing that comes to mind is work but first i need to wake someone up, then say a little prayer and think through what i have to do. 5:00am, i hit the washroom and I'm out by 5:30. With clothes already ironed from the previous night(although i seem to be becoming lazy these days),dressing up takes place. 6:00am, out of the gate.

By the roadside waiting for a circle bound 'troksi', in 'obroni' terms bus. One finally appears with the mate's hand out the window and his index finger drawing a circle in the air and his head popped out  he screams on top of his voice, 'circ circ circ' (wondering when they will be able to pronounce the name of a place correctly). I jump into it and too bad, i need to go to the last seat. If you've ever ridden in one of them benz buses, you'd know what i'm talking about. Don't have a choice and it's by the window too. Well, i can't help but sit and enjoy the fresh air whilst trying to avoid making eye contact with anyone riding in another car thinking why is this fine girl sitting in a 'troksi'.

Boarding a 'troski' is all about patience. My advice;if you are in a rush, never use one. We get stuck in traffic just as we are approaching 'circle'. I look out of the window, notice a pretty lady driving a sleek car. Oh no!  her hand bag is on her back seat. Next, my eyes move to check if her doors are locked. Hell no! They are not. How dangerous. Will i call this ignorance or show off? My brother will literally say ''common sense is not sold in the drug store for anyone to go and buy. It has to come naturally to you''.

Question is: 1. Why would anyone of such pedigree put her bag on the back seat knowing very well it will attract passers-by?

                    2. In this day and age of rampant armed robbery and car snatches, you don't lock your car whilst in traffic?

To me, maybe there was nothing valuable in her bag. But even if there wasn't,God forbid, but if something bad should have happened, she would have gone through a lot of emotional stress. And guess who would have suffered most;her husband or boyfriend. The thing is i haven't seen this happen once or twice. Most women and even men are guilty of this.

Let us all try and be our own security men and not robbers.
